Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 17 in Balmorhea, TX on March 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Expedition was southbound, on Hwy 17, nearing an intersection. Authorities allege the vehicle may have missed a posted stop sign before proceeding into the intersection and traveling over a culver, going airborne and striking a TxDOT sign. Reports say the vehicle also struck a commercial truck parked in a lot nearby, the collision leaving 31-year-old Ford operator, Richard Aguilar, seriously injured.
