Area authorities confirmed the death of a driver in connection with a crash at Shawnee Rd in Ellis County, TX on October 6th, 2021. They say it happened around 1:10 a.m. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by 35-year-old Richard Zachary Cole was reportedly headed south bound approaching a right hand curve when the bike continued straight. It then veered across a ditch before colliding with a metal post and the attached guard wire. Cole suffered fatal injuries in the impact.
