What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at TX 249 in Houston, TX on October 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:45 p.m. A Toyota Matrix headed south collided with a Dodge Journey traveling in the wrong direction. The Dodge continued headed northbound before colliding with a Honda Accord. The driver of the Matrxc, Ricky Phillips, died at the scene. The wrong-way driver was hospitalized injuries while the other two drivers were not injured.
