What Happened

Officials are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Loop 363 in Temple, TX on September 30th, 2024. Officials say the incident happened around 4:14 p.m. According to investigators, a Saab 9-3 headed southbound is said to have been attempting to pass a vehicle in a shoulder as a Chevrolet Silverado was attempting to merge. Officials say the Saab struck the rear of the Silverado before crashing head-on into a Ford C-Max. Authorities say both the driver of the Saab, who was not publicly identified, and Ford operator, identified as 66-year-old Robert Groh, were fatally injured. Authorities did not have additional information availabe.
