What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 36 in Callahan County, TX on June 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:50 a.m. A Pontiac Firebird operated by 50-year-old Robert Kyle Stewart was headed northbound when it veered from its lane into southbound lanes. From there, it then collided with a Nissan Pathfinder that attempted to avoid a collision but was unable to do so. That driver and his passengers were not injured. Stewart suffered serious injuries in the crash and was issued charges for No Driver's License and Driving While Intoxicated.
