Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at State Hwy 71 in Burnet County, TX on May 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 headed eastbound in rainy weather conditions is said to have hydroplaned and lost control, entering into westbound lanes. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a second Ford F-150, the impact leaving the driver of the second truck, 70-year-old, Robert Tyler, was fatally injured. A passenger in the first Ford, who was not publicly identified, was fatally injured. The driver, also not publicly identified, was seriously injured.
