Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at State Hwy 176 in Andrews County, TX on May 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:05 a.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac Escalade headed eastbound is alleged to have veered from the road for unclear reasons before going into a skid while attempting to return to the road. Authorities say the vehicle entered into a westbound lane of travel where it collided with a GMC Sierra. The impact is said to have caused the Cadillac to flip into a nearby barrow ditch, leaving 28-year-old operator, Julio Torres, fatally injured. Reports say the GMC operator, identified as 67-year-old Robert Vanzant, was seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
