Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-30 in Bowie County, TX on March 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:53 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Sentra operated by 62-year-old Robert Wingfield Jr was going eastbound on I-30 at the time of the crash. The was a vehicle parked in a shoulder with an attenuated lowered. The Nissan is said to have struck the corner of one of the two parked vehicles before also striking the towed unit of the second vehicle. Wingfield suffered serious injuries, according to police, and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Additional information was not immediately available.
