What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at TX 136 in Potter County, TX on January 22nd, 2022. Officials are saying the incident happened around 1:55 a.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 53-year-old Rodney Valle was traveling north on TX 136 when it veered from the road for unknown reasons. Investigators believe the vehicle went into a skid while attempting to correct back onto the road and overturned into a ditch, ejecting Valle from the vehicle. Valle suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Police suspect alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
