What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at  I-14 in Belton, TX on January 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:11 a.m. A Dodge Ram 1500 operated by a 30-year-old Belton man was headed eastbound when it collided with a guardrail. It then veered left into a barrier wall before the driver allegedly became unconscious and the vehicle collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Avalanche operated by 22-year-old Rogelio Barrientos Sanchez. The impact caused a chain reaction collision involving three other vehicle. Sanchez was reportedly the only person injured, suffering serious injuries.
