What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Windfern Rd in Harris County, TX on July 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 30-year-old Jordan Garrett Mehl was headed westbound on Windfern Rd before allegedly suffering from brake failure. The vehicle ended up collided with the rear of a Hyundai Elantra operated by 28-year-old Roger Regulo Gomez Fuentes. The collision is said to have left Gomez Fuentes and two passengers with serious injuries. Mehl was not injured, according to police. A Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued.
