Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating an incident that killed a man at County Rd 148 in Lubbock, TX on June 24th, 2023. Officials say the incident happened sometime around 2 p.m. Investigators are saying a backhoe operated by 81-year-old Ronald Rogers had been headed eastbound at the time. They believe the vehicle was traveling up an embankment when it overturned for unknown reasons. Rogers was thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
