Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 271 in Deport, TX on May 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra headed southbound is alleged to have failed to control its seed before colliding with the rear of a Ford Edge slowing to turn into a private drive. Reports indicate the driver of the Ford, identified as 68-year-old Ronnie Burns, was seriously injured. A passenger in the vehicle, who was not publicly identified, had non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was allegedly uninjured and reports say the driver was cited for Failure to Drive in Single Lane.
