What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured two drivers at RM 32 in Hays County, TX in October 12th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:29 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 29-year-old San Marcos man is said to have lost control while headed eastbound on RM 32 and veered from the road. After overcorrecting, it ended up on the wrong side of the road and struck a westbound Cadillac CTS operated by 57-year-old Ronnie Lynn Stewart. Stewart was seriously injured in the collision. The other driver, who police suspect was intoxicated, suffered less serious injuries. A charge for Driving While Intoxicated was suggested and/or issued.
