Authorities have information on a crash that killed a man at FM 3427 in Hunt County, TX on July 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:14 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Compass operated by a 35-year-old Royse City man was eastbound at the time. The vehicle was approaching a portion of road that required a left or right hand turn then the vehicle instated traveled across a private driveway while attempting a right turn, making contact right a top rail pipe. The impact caused the pipe rail to detach and crash through the front windshield of the vehicle, striking the driver. Authorities say this caused fatal injuries and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information was not available.
