Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. According to investigators, a road grader operated by a 62-year-old Rusk man was northbound on County Rd 2206 before suffering possible brake failure. Officials say the driver attempted to exit the vehicle as it was still in motion and while doing so, fell in front of an axle that rolled over the driver. Authorities say the man was seriously injured in the incident and had not additional information to share.
