What Happened

San Antonio Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at SW Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX on October 16th, 2021. They say the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. A semi-truck on the right shoulder began to merge into a lane ahead of a Ford Fusion. The Fusion collided with the rear of the truck and both vehicle caught fire. The Ford driver was unable to escape the burning vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. He was later identified as Ryan Jacob Soto. The other driver was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
