What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 190 in Schleicher County, TX on August 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:16 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 25-year-old Arizona man was allegedly traveling on the wrong side of the road before colliding with an eastbound Mercedes-Benz B250 van operated by 34-year-old Sabas Hernandez-Vizcalla. Both Hernandez-Vizcalla and a passenger, 44-year-old Fernando Tinajero, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The Arizona man had minor injuries, according to authorities and sources indicate a Driving on Wrong Side of Road: No Passing Zone was recommended and/or issued.
