Lubbock Police have charged a driver in connection with a fatal crash at  34th St in Lubbock, TX on March 13th, 2022. They say it happened around 3:38 a.m. According to investigators, a vehicle operated by 43-year-old Elisa Bengoa was reportedly headed westbound on 34th St before colliding with the rear of a vehicle operated by 30-year-old Samantha Martinez. Bengoa's vehicle reportedly continued into a nearby building while Martinez's vehicle came to a stop in the intersection with Salem Ave. Martinez suffered fatal injuries at the scene while Bengoa was hospitalized with moderate injuries. Records indicate Bengoa is being charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. Additional information was not provided.
