What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35 in Austin, TX on July 31st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:23 a.m. According to authorities, a Nissan sedan operated by a 21-year-0ld Austin man was headed northbound on the service road, approaching the Onion Creek Pkwy intersection. A Honda operated by 24-year-old Samuel Tinsley was headed eastbound on the Parkway when it was struck from the rear by the other vehicle during a turn. Tinsley suffered serious injuries while, according to reports, the other driver was charged with DWI.
