What Happened

Area authorities confirmed the name of the pedestrian killed in a crash at I-10 in Anthony, TX on May 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:50 a.m. A CMG Sierra C1500 reportedly struck road debris, causing it to veer from the road. It then crashed into a tension cable post and a pair of pedestrians. One pedestrian, identified as 34-year-old Santiago Goytia, died at the scene. The other pedestrian was hospitalized with minor injuries. The GMC driver was not injured.
