Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at 4th St and Inler Ave in Lubbock, TX on August 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:32 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Versa operated by 37-year-old Santiago Samarron was westbound on 4th Street. Police allege the vehicle may have missed a stop sign before colliding with a Toyota Corolla headed northbound at the Inler Ave intersection. Police say the driver of the Toyota, 25-year-old Oscar Luna, had possible injuries. Two passengers in the Nissan had minor injuries, according to police, who say Samarron suffered serious injuries. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Nissan.
