Police say the incident happened around 10:40 p.m. A Ford Focus operated by 25-year-old Saul Alejandro Gomez was headed northbound on Patriot Parkway when traffic ahead began to slow due to an accident. The Focus is accused of not slowing down and cutting across multiple traffic lanes before colliding with a heavy duty Ford truck operated by a 29-year-old Dallas man. Gomez suffered serious injuries and was cited for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. The Dallas man suffered minor injuries.
