Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 2109 in Angelina County, TX on June 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic operated by 34-year-old Savannah Nelson was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on FM 2109 before it lost control and struck a curve in the road. It then went over an embankment and overturned, causing serious injuries. A 31-year-old passenger was evaluated for possible injuries. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
