Area authorities are investigating a crash ash killed a person at State Hwy 156 in San Jacinto County, TX on July 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:24 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 3500 operated by a 21-year-old North Zulch man was northbound at the time. Police allege the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time and say the vehicle failed to control its speed before colliding with a motorcycle operated by 37-year-old Schevie Slayden. Slayden suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The North Zulch man was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Manslaughter charge.
