What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a teen at Wallisville Rd in Harris County, TX on January 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:26 p.m. Investigators believe a dirt bike operated by 19-year-old Sean Payne-Sanchez was westbound on a Wallisville at the time. Repros say the vehicle was allegedly in the process of being pursued by an off-duty officer as it approached Haney Rd. At that time, reports say a Chevrolet pickup towing a trailer was turning left onto Haney Rd, entering into the path of the approaching dire bike. The two vehicles collided, causing Payne-Sanchez to be thrown from the vehicle. Reports say he was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Authorities did not have additional information available.
