Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at Garden City Hwy in Midland, TX on December 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:48 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Corolla headed eastbound on Garden City Hwy allegedly failed to yield right of way before striking an individual. The individual, 28-year-old tow truck operator, Sebastian Banuelos, was in the process of loading a stalled or disabled vehicle onto a tow truck at the time. Reports indicate the tow truck had active hazard and emergency equipment at the time of the collision, which left Banuelos seriously injured. The other driver, a 44-year-old man, not publicly identified, had possible injuries, reports say. Reports also say the man had an Intoxication Assault charge recommended and/or issued against him.
