What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people at Stassney Ln in Teri Rd in Austin, TX on October 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan operated by a 26-year-old man was headed southbound on Stassney when a front seat passenger allegedly grabbed hold of the steering wheel, causing it to lose control, veering into an opposite lane. The vehicle collided with a northbound Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 52-year-old Serafin Ayala, causing Ayala minor injuries. A 44-year-old passenger in the truck also suffered minor injuries as did a 40-year-old passenger in the Nissan. The Nissan driver was more seriously injured. Additional details were not available.
