Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 146 in Kemah, TX on May 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:52 p.m. According to investigators, a a Ford SUV operated by a 23-year-old Serena Martinez was headed northbound in a left lane of Hwy 146 at an alleged high rate of speed when it collided with a commercial vehicle operated by a 53-year-old Texas City man. The collision caused serious injuries to the Texas City man and minor injuries to Martinez. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued against Martinez.
