What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at FM 907 in Hidalgo County, TX on April 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:41 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Escape is alleged to have disregarded a stop sign at an intersection before colliding with a Nissan Sentra. The impact is said to have caused the Nissan to spin into and strike a nearby Cadillac SRX before the Nissan veered from the road into a nearby metal pole, causing it to catch fire. Reports say the Ford veered from the road into a telephone pole, the impact ejecting a passenger from the vehicle. The passenger, who was not publicly identified, was fatally injured. Also fatally injured was the driver of the Nissan, identified as 29-year-old Sergio Delgado Jr. Reports indicated the driver of the Ford, who was not publicly identified, was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
