What Happened

Authorities are investigating a collision that injured a driver at FM 1960 in Liberty County, TX on May 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 towing a trailer is allegedly to have lost control when its trailer began to fishtail. Reports say the vehicle went across the west par of the roadway, traveling into a path of an approaching Chevrolet Equinox. The vehicles collided and reports say the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 30-year-old Shacola Tunwar, was seriously injured. The other driver was not publicly identified suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger was more seriously injured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
