Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a bicyclist at West Dallas St in Houston, TX on October 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. According to investigators, a group of bicyclists with the Pride Bike Ride were traveling together when one of the cyclists lost control of their bike. That individual, identified as 45-year-old Shane McKinney, fell from the bicycle and was struck by a vehicle in the same lane. The vehicle attempted to flee the scene, striking McKinney once more, causing fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival and faces felony failure to stop and render aid charges if located.
