Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 71 in Burnet County, TX on April 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:26 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 43-year-old male was headed eastbound on Hwy 71 when it began to turn left, allegedly failing yield to oncoming traffic. Police allege the truck turned into the path of a Mercury Grand Marquis operated by 42-year-old Sheila Marie Becker. The vehicles collided, leaving Becker with injuries believed to be serious in nature. The other driver was not injured and issued a citation for Failure to Yield Row Turning Left.
