Police say the incident happened around 3:29 p.m. A Ford Edge operated by 24-year-old Shelby Brown reportedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a trailer attached to a commercial GMC truck. Brown suffered serious injuries in the collision and was cited for Failure to Control Speed and No Driver License When Unlicensed. The other driver, a 66-year-old Canton, MS man, was not injured.
