Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at FM 812 and Hwy 121 in Bastrop County, TX on December 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:19 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 37-year-old Florence, TX man was southeast on FM 812 at the time. Traveling northwest on FM 812 was a Kia Rio operated 31-year-old Shree Gurung. Reports indicate the Silverado veered into oncoming traffic before colliding with the Kia, the collision leaving Gurung with fatal injuries. His 19-year-old passenger had possible injuries, according to reports. Reports further indicate the Florence man, who also had possible injuries, had a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter recommended and/or issued against him. Additional information was not available.
