What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-69E in Harlingen, TX on June 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:42 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Canyon operated by an unnamed 21-year-old Laguna Vista, TX man was headed southbound on the frontage road. A Chevrolet Trax operated by 28-year-old Sierra Castelan was traveling westbound on New Hampshire Street. Police believe the GMC failed to come to a stop at a red light before colliding with the Chevrolet. Castelan is said to have suffered serious injuries in the collision while the Laguna Vista man was uninjured. Officers recommended and/or issued a Ran Red Light charge.
