What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at McColl Rd in Hidalgo County, TX on January 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:03 p.m. A Nissan Rogue operated by a 46-year-old Coon Valley, WI man was headed northbound at an alleged high rate of speed while evading police. A second Rogue operated by 58-year-old Silvia Gonzalez was exiting a private drive onto McColl Rd at the same time and as it did so was struck by the other Nissan. Gonzalez suffered serious injuries in the collision. The other driver was arrested on charges of Evading Arrest and Driving While Intoxicated.
