What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-45 near West Rd in Houston, TX on March 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. Reports allege  46-year-old Simon Linares Valiente, was seen attempting to cross freeway lanes of travel prior to him being struck by a northbound Nissan Sentra. Reports say Valiente suffered fatal injuries in the incident. The driver of the Nissan was allegedly questioned by authorities who say she was found to not have been impaired.
