Dallas Police are investigating a crash that injured children at Rugged Dr in Dallas, TX on September 28th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Acadia is said to have turned left onto Ledbetter Rd before it was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Malibu headed westbound on Ledbetter Dr. Authorities say six children involved were hospitalized. The driver of the Dodge, allegedly identified as 20-year-old Jose Castro, allegedly fled the scene on-foot after the collision. Reports say Castro was hospitalized and allegedly faces charges of Intoxication Assault. Additional information was not available.
