Weslaco Police identified the person killed in a crash at FM 1015 in Weslaco, TX on August 10th, 2022. They say it happened around 12:36 p.m. According to investigators, a Chrysler Town & Country operated by 68-year-old Sofia Hernandez Perez was making a left turn onto FM 1015. As it did so, a southbound Chevrolet Silverado that was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed struck the Chrysler. Perez suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Her passenger and the driver of the Chevrolet were both hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional details were not available.
