What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver tat  State Hwy 121 in Lewisville, TX on December 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:03 p.m. Investigators believe a Chevrolet Silverado with an attached trailer that was operated by a 38-year-old Hideway man ran a red light at an intersection. This caused a Nissan Altima operated by 53-year-old Sofia Mustafa to collide with the side of the vehicle and Mustafa suffered serious injuries. Her passenger, 19-year-old Ridha Syed, was evaluated for possible injuries. None of the other drivers and passengers involved were injured. Reports indicate the Hideway man was issued a Running Red Light citation.
