What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at RM 1061 and Saddleback Rd in Potter County, TX on August 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a semi-truck headed southbound crossed a center line and collided head-on with a U-haul truck. Following the collision, a northbound pickup truck was also involved when it was unable to avoid the collision. The vehicles involved all caught fire, leaving the U-Haul driver with fatal injuries at the scene. The victim was identified as 51-year-old Sonny Reynolds. The pickup truck driver, 51-year-old Crystal Taylor-Williams, and driver of the semi-truck, 29-year-old Nehemias Trevino, were both hospitalized with serious injuries.
