What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at US 83 in Jones County, TX on October 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:10 a.m during dense fog road conditions. A Dodge Charger operated by 27-year-old Stephen Issac Pardo was headed southbound on US 277 when it veered from the road at a curve. It then crashed into a road sign and retaining wall. Pardo suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Responding officers allege that there were multiple open alcoholic beverages inside the Charger at the scene.
