What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 75 in Van Alstyne, TX on January 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet pickup truck operated by 25-year-old Steven Dickson was headed southbound on the service road when it allegedly cut through a grass median, hit a concrete barrier and entered into traffic lanes. Upon doing so, the vehicle is said to have lost power and had no active lights when it was struck by two other vehicles. The drivers of those vehicles were not injured. Dickson is said to have suffered serious injuries and reports indicate he was arrested on a DWI charge.
