Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least three people at FM 2611 in Brazoria County, TX on November 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:04 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Expedition was northbound nearing a Nissan Titan stopped for a red light at the State Hwy 36 intersection with FM 2611. Reports allege the Ford failed to control its speed before colliding with the rest of the stopped Nissan, both vehicles pushed not septette shoulder areas. 46-year-old Ford passenger, Misty Lege, was seriously injured, according to police. Police also say driver of the Ford, 59-year-old Steven Lege, as well as the driver of the Nissan, 67-year-old Mary Quinty, both had non-life-threatening injuries. Reports show a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Ford. Additional information was not available.
