Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at West Sam Houston Pkwy in Houston, TX on March 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Accent operated by 28-year-old Taneqwa Williams was headed northbound on West Sam Houston Pkwy when it collided with the rear of a Honda motorcycle operated by 69-year-old Steven Swing. The Hyundai is said to have left the scene without stopping to render aid to Swing, who suffered serious injuries in the collision. Investigators allege Williams was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision and reports indicate charges for DWI and Failure to Stop and Render Aid were recommended and/or issued for Williams.
