What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 281 in Hidalgo County, TX on July 21st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:52 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 36-year-old Mission man reportedly lost control while attempting to brake due to a vehicle ahead. The truck then jackknifed and was blocking a lane of traffic when it was struck by an approaching GMC Yukon operated by 44-year-old Suehay Neaville. Neaville suffered serious injuries in the collision. Two passengers were evaluated for possible injuries. The Mission man was not injured and was cited for Unsafe Speed.
