What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least one person involved at Arkansas Ln in Arlington, TX on January 21st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:48 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Sentra was headed westbound, allegedly at a high rate of speed, prior to colliding with the rear of a Honda Odyssey. The Honda is said to have lost control and veered across a median into eastbound lanes while the Nissan overturned on impact. The occupants of the Honda, identified as 57-year-old driver, Suong Cao and 72-year-old passenger, Cug Ho, may have been injured. Their injuries were not confirmed. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 38-year-old Valarie Vargas, was seriously injured, reports say. Reports also say a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued against Vargas.
