What Happened

Authorities have information in a single-vehicle crash that killed two people at I-35E in Dallas, TX on November 10th, 2023.  Police are saying the incident happened around 3:12 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Crown Victoria, operated by 24-year-old Tabitha Barron, was northbound on US 67 nearing the merge with I-35E. For unconfirmed reasons, reports say the vehicle lost control and began to skid across the northbound lanes. From there, the vehicle is said to have made contact with a concrete barrier, causing the vehicle to rotate. Reports continue the the driver's side door of the vehicle opened as this occurred, ejecting both Barron and 24-year-old passenger, Jennifer Leon, from the vehicle. Leon died at the scene while Barron was hospitalized with injuries she later died from. Additional information was not available.
