Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 1988 in Polk County, TX on January 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:13 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler operated by 61-year-old Charlie Christensen was going northbound on FM 1988 when it allegedly failed to yield and collided with a Ford Focus operated by 52-year-old Tammy Lake. Lake was seriously injured while a passenger, identified as 70-year-old Glenda Wooley, suffered minor injuries. A Failure to Yield Right of Way charge was recommended and/or issued.
